DBS at hilzinger partner event

On March 10, 2022, the German window manufacturer hilzinger held its annual partner day. Marius Keweloh from the DBS WinDo Imaging team participated and presented our AR app WindowViewer - with success.

Due to the current COVID 19 pandemic, the event took place virtually. The agenda was filled with a number of innovations from hilzinger as well as interesting technical presentations, most of which were streamed live. In addition, there was an accompanying virtual trade exhibition with over 20 exhibitors - including our system providers VEKA and GEALAN. Besides product innovations, the virtual exhibition presented the digital solutions of DBS. One focus was on the WinDo Imaging solution and the augmented reality (AR) app WindowViewer.

Alongside the virtual exhibition, Marius Keweloh also had the opportunity to demonstrate the solution in a presentation: Using the mobile app WindowViewer, windows and doors can be visualized in 3D easily. By doing so, window manufacturers can, already during the consultation meeting, demonstrate to the customer, how the desired windows will look in the façade.

By means of a live demonstration of two elements, participants were able to get a realistic impression of the possibilities of the augmented reality app. In addition to the visualization of different product types, also colours, handles or muntins can be demonstrated as AR elements. Furthermore, the app can be used for sampling or to visualize design differences to customers.

In the subsequent discussion with Mr Busse, Managing Director of hilzinger, the participants had the opportunity to ask questions. "We are currently still in a testing phase of the app. Nevertheless, the response to our app has been very positive so far," summarizes Marius Keweloh, Product Specialist DBS WinDo Imaging.

hilzinger is already using the app. As a pilot customer, hilzinger regularly provides us with feedback on their experiences with the app. We are in close contact with them. This enables us to further develop and optimize the app in a targeted manner.
