At the end of November, we said thank you and goodbye to our valued colleague Stephan Kunz as he entered his well-deserved retirement. He initially joined VEKA in 2017 and played an active role in establishing DBS from 2020 onwards.
The spin-off of DBS was a special challenge for everyone involved, but also a great opportunity. Stephan sees DBS as a start-up-style company with a secure foundation provided by the VEKA Group. This combination of security and innovative spirit has paved the way for new ideas and solutions.
Customer-focused solutions through strong teamwork
As part of his work, Stephan has played a key role in developing the WinDo Experts division and master data maintenance for window construction customers. One of his and his team's key projects was the development of a service product tailored specifically to the needs of customers who work with KLAES or 3E window construction software. With this service, customers benefit from continuously updated master data as well as regular, customized updates of the latest material prices. This added value is still unique in the industry today.
From a technological perspective, the key innovations were the up-to-date master data and the automated, customer-specific material price update. To meet these requirements, customized programming solutions had to be developed for the window construction software used. Thanks to the effective collaboration between programming, product management, sales and IT, the challenging tasks were successfully accomplished.
In addition to introducing the master data service model, the Experts team has succeeded in establishing a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing. With fresh ideas and a high level of expertise, the team meets the requirements of profile providers VEKA and GEALAN and has a lasting impact on the quality of services.
We would like to thank Stephan for his many years of inspiring collaboration and wish him all the best for this new chapter in his life, good health and many fulfilling moments with his family, whether hiking in the Sauerland or exploring new trails in the Alps.
