Successful participation at FENSTERBAU FRONTALE 2026
Presence at the VEKA and GEALAN booths
Digital Building Solutions GmbH looks back on a successful participation at FENSTERBAU FRONTALE in late March 2026. As the digitalization partner of the VEKA Group, DBS presented its digital tools and services at the exhibition booths of the two system providers, VEKA and GEALAN. The close collaboration between the system providers and DBS proved to be a real asset for everyone involved. Numerous discussions highlighted how well system expertise and digital solutions complement each other, creating a classic win-win situation.
Focus on current and future topics
“Our trade show presentation focused on tools and services that help window manufacturers digitalize their value chain. Our solutions are designed to be modular, enabling a step-by-step digitalization based on individual needs,” explains Karl Dietrich Wellsow, Managing Director of Digital Building Solutions GmbH. This year, solutions that meet both current and future requirements were particularly demanded. “We are pleased that the willingness and acceptance of digitalization in the industry continue to grow,” summarizes Karl Dietrich Wellsow.
DBS WinDo Pass as preparation for the DPP
With WinDo Pass, DBS demonstrates a practical approach to meeting the upcoming requirements of a digital product passport within the EU. The solution helps window manufacturers organize data in a structured way and align their processes with future regulatory requirements. A QR code attached to the window element makes this data available at any time and promotes the circular economy in window manufacturing by providing targeted information about the installed product and proper recycling. Visitors were able to test the QR code live and experience it in their own brand identity. This made the system’s functionality immediately tangible and demonstrated how flexibly the solution can be adapted to the corporate design of each manufacturer.
Master data management and consulting
The WinDo Experts team was on hand to provide personalized consultations and demonstrated how high-quality, automated master data lays the foundation for efficient digital processes. With our master data service, window manufacturers benefit from comprehensive, up-to-date profile and pricing data, as well as automated update services, without overwriting customizations. In addition, WinDo Experts offers personalized consulting with customizations of window manufacturing software solutions, as well as training and support with dedicated contact persons. At the trade show, many visitors took the opportunity to receive personalized advice on these services and discuss specific practical questions.
Digital visualization and planning solutions
In addition, DBS presented modern tools for visualization and planning in the window manufacturing industry. Digital applications, such as the AI-powered window visualization tool WindowDesigner, streamline both the quotation phase and customer communication, in oder to ensure greater confidence in decision-making. With WinDo Planning, these decisions can be digitally planned and implemented in a BIM-compatible way. The web-based solution supports window manufacturer and architects in digital window planning. In addition, DBS also presented its Trade Module, which was developed specifically for window manufacturers in the retail sector who do not have an own trade program. The module enables customized projects for specific dealers, including calculations and digital documents.
International interest and collaboration with partners and industry professionals
FENSTERBAU FRONTALE 2026 once again had a strong international presence. The high proportion of international visitors represents the growing importance of the export business. For DBS, this provides valuable insights and opportunities for expansion into markets beyond the German-speaking countries.
Dr Matthias Koch, Managing Director of Digital Building Solutions GmbH, emphasizes: “FENSTERBAU FRONTALE is always a valuable opportunity for us to engage directly with manufacturers, architects and industry representatives. These in-depth discussions show, how important our digital solutions are to our partners’ competitiveness in an increasingly complex market environment.”
