The German window construction company Kuhnert has been a reliable partner for high-quality window and door solutions for many years. As a VEKA fabricator, the company attaches great importance to quality and service. In order to make its processes even more efficient, Kuhnert has ventured into the digital world.

Start with WinDo Flow after successful test phase

After a six-week trial period, Kuhnert decided to permanently integrate the WinDo Flow solution from Digital Building Solutions GmbH into its processes. The software provides a central platform for order management and ensures transparent and structured processing. The project was largely supervised and driven forward by Managing Directors Michael Kuhnert and Danny Schwarz. Both recognized digitalization as a strategic step and actively implemented it. "The decision to use WinDo Flow is an important step for us. The solution makes our technicians' work easier and ensures greater transparency in all processes," explains Michael Kuhnert, Managing Director of Fensterbau Kuhnert GmbH, explaining the reasons behind the decision.

Focus on service

Kuhnert aims to offer its customers the best possible service. This is where the app InstallationPro comes in. All information about the construction site and window elements is available on the go at any time. This makes work on site much more efficient and, above all, more transparent. The installers can conveniently carry out the documentation and final inspection on site using the app on a tablet. Printed documents such as sketches or delivery notes are no longer necessary. Only the tablet is used for processing. This saves time, reduces errors and ensures that every order is fully documented.

Next steps: Expanding digitalization

The journey is not over yet: Kuhnert plans to extend the solution to the installation area. In addition, QR stickers are to be introduced to enable unique identification of window elements. All order data can be accessed directly via the QR code. With a view to the upcoming Digital Product Passport (DPP), the WinDo Pass already meets key requirements today: unique identification of each installed element, access to relevant product information and sustainability as well as transparency throughout the entire product life cycle. Kuhnert is thus well prepared for future legal requirements and offers its customers real added value in terms of service and traceability.

Fensterbau Kuhnert GmbH was founded in 1990 by Jürgen Kuhnert in the Pritzwalk region and has been based near Schwerin since 1993. Today, the company employs around 70 people and offers a wide range of products: plastic and aluminum windows and doors, facades, conservatories, patio roofs, roller shutters and shading systems. With a production area of 3,000 m² and modern machinery, Kuhnert manufactures everything from a single source: from planning and measurement to installation.
