BLECHER is digitalizing its collaboration with trade partners

With BLECHER Connect, WindowDesigner, WinDo Pass and WinDo Works, the German Otto Blecher GmbH is continuing to expand its digital offerings in collaboration with DBS. More than 80 trade partners are already using BLECHER Connect for their cost estimates and quote preparation.

A centralized solution for cost estimation and quotations

Otto Blecher GmbH manufactures plastic and aluminum windows and doors at its Bad Laasphe facility in Germany. The family-owned company employs approximately 200 people and celebrates its 90th anniversary in 2026. A key component of the company’s continued growth is its collaboration with trade partners. Previously, quotes and calculations were often handled by BLECHER’s in-house or field staff. The company therefore sought a centralized application that would allow trade partners to independently calculate prices for the product range and generate quotes. At the same time, the same solution needed to be available to BLECHER’s employees.

BLECHER Connect, built on the DBS dealer software, provides a unified interface designed specifically for these tasks. The application combines technical window-manufacturing expertise with business data and supports the digital management of projects.

More than 80 trade partners work with BLECHER Connect

The project was launched in October 2023. In March 2024, BLECHER and DBS presented the new trade software at the BLECHER Innovation Day held at the system provider VEKA in Sendenhorst. There, partners gained insights into the application and were able to share their experiences directly. More than 80 trade partners are now using BLECHER Connect. They can perform calculations independently and create quotes directly. BLECHER Connect also serves as a digital interface between the manufacturer and its network of trade partners.

For BLECHER, the solution reduces the administrative burden associated with pricing requests and eases the workload on both in-house and field staff. Authorized partners receive the information they need more quickly and can process their quotes more independently.

Digital support from consultation to the construction site

In addition to BLECHER Connect, the first authorized partners are now using the WindowDesigner. Based on a photo of the facade, new windows can be digitally visualized and configured. Dimensions and other relevant information are automatically captured and made available for creating quotes. This gives end customers a realistic impression of their future windows, while trade partners can submit a detailed quote more quickly.

Furthermore, BLECHER has been using the WinDo Pass solution since August 2026. All window components are assigned a unique QR code. This code can be used to access a webpage containing information about the respective component. Partners can customize this page to reflect their company’s branding, allowing them to remain visible as points of contact even after installation. WinDo Pass digitally consolidates product information and documents. The system can be expanded step-by-step, thereby laying the groundwork for future requirements regarding digital product information.

BLECHER has been using WinDo Works with the respective Cockpit and mobile app InstallationPro since mid-2021 to document service orders and the associated work on construction sites. The solution complements the digital workflows with practical on-site documentation. In addition to WinDo Pass, the first authorized partners would like to use WinDo Works through BLECHER in the future. This expands the joint digital process from cost estimation and visualization to product information, construction site documentation, and post-installation support.

Further development in collaboration with users

BLECHER and DBS view their collaboration as an ongoing development process. Feedback from the network of trade partners is regularly incorporated into the further development of the digital tools. In the future, the individual solutions are intended to work together even more closely. The focus is on increasing the depth of use, connecting additional partners, and making it as easy as possible to switch between cost estimation, visualization, digital product information, and the documentation of service orders. This creates an integrated offering that supports BLECHER and its partners from consultation and quote preparation up to post-installation support.

For DBS, the partnership with BLECHER is a successful example of how digital tools simplify processes and support collaboration between manufacturers and retailers.
